You can expect activity-filled days for kids, worry-free days for parents! Participants will enjoy a variety of activities such as sport activities, games, weekly pool days, and field trips.
Min/Max- The Springfield Park District programs require a minimum number of participants five business days before an activity begins. A maximum number is also listed to ensure quality instruction. Classes may be combined, and times modified to facilitate better programs.
R/NR Fee - R (Resident Fee)- The Springfield Park District is committed to serving the residents of the Springfield Park District. Springfield Park District residents may be different than City of Springfield residents.
A resident is defined as anyone living within the boundaries of the Springfield Park District. Residents support the Springfield Park District facilities and programs through property taxes and therefore receive preferred rates for many of the services provided by the Springfield Park District. To determine if you are a Springfield Park District resident, feel free to contact our Bunn Administrative Office at 217-544-1751.
L.E.A.P. stands for Leisure Education and Adaptive Programming. Camp L.E.A.P. is a Special Needs Summer Day Camp and is a program of adaptive recreation for individuals with disabilities offered through the Springfield Park District.
L.E.A.P. programs are for individuals from preschool through adult.
Kids Camp L.E.A.P. at Erin's Pavilion focuses on the younger age group of this population we serve.
Special populations we serve include but are not limited to: learning disabilities, physically impaired, behavior problems, visually impaired, multiple disabilities, or those with any other special needs. All attempts are made to place participants in programs according to their disability, age and peer groups.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Camp L.E.A.P. is a weekly program. Registration deadlines are set as the Friday prior to the week the participant is attending.

This program is all inclusive. You do not have to have a disability to attend.
Camp L.E.A.P. is a Summer Camp with a special focus for those with special needs. Activities include: arts and crafts, daily walks in Southwind Park, swimming, guest speakers, field trips, games, daily playground activities, bowling and so much more! But HURRY, there are limited spots available due to classroom size, and this camp fills up fast each Summer!

Spend a summer learning valuable skills that will allow you to move forward in life. Whether it be learning job skills or steps towards more independent living, this camp will aid you for your future endeavors! Spots are limited for this camp so sign up as soon as you can.
*Lunches will be provided by the Food Bank.

This 10-week camp will keep your children happy, healthy and moving all summer long with great Park District recreational activities such as non-contact games, disc golf, floor hockey, arts & crafts, themed weeks, nature programs, science projects and so much more!
Campers are divided into appropriate groups for daily activities
The Nelson Center Summer Camp is an ALL INCLUSIVE program, so children with all abilities are welcome.
$50 per week registration fee required at registration.

Does your wild child love learning about animals?
Then join the flock for three half-day adventures at the zoo in Zoo Camp!
Games, crafts, zoo hikes, and other fun learning activities help us to explore the animal world on zoo grounds and in our air-conditioned classroom. Only students ages 7-9 are allowed.
Pre-registration and pre-payment are required at least 24 hours prior to the start of camp. Please send your student with a pre-packed SNACK labeled with his or her name.
